About

Dedicated to keeping the lost art of silversmithing and handwrought pewtersmithing alive. Hand crafted pewter and silver using age old methods- in Edenton North Carolina.

Driven by a desire to preserve traditional handcrafts, Old North Pewter was founded with an “anti–Industrial Age” spirit, closely aligned with the ideals of the Arts and Crafts movement.
Our work is defined by solid, honest craftsmanship—created without machinery or modern equipment.

Every hammer mark is intentional and made by hand. All chasing and repoussé is done using handmade tools, and every stage of polishing and finishing is completed by hand using centuries-old materials and methods, including brick dust, charcoal, and pumice.

Cups are formed through a combination of casting and hammering—a process known as raising—or by carefully shaping a single pewter disc over a stake with a hammer. Bowls and plates are crafted from either cut pewter sheets or discs cast over a wood-fired brick forge.

In 2025, preparing for North Carolina's 250th anniversary, I began venturing fully into the art of traditional cold forging silverware from hand cast sterling and coin silver ingots.
Reviving the lost art of hand forged coin and sterling silver in North Carolina.

As I continue to refine my skills, I remain committed to creating each piece entirely by hand.
