This pewter plate, is just as functional as a serving plate as it is beautiful.
Handwrought to form on an anvil and oak stump, this pewter tray was hand patinated and hand engraved using 19th century Engraving tools.
The hand engraved central motif was taken directly from and YongZheng period Qing bowl. The dimensions and shape as well.
Reserved, yet iconic.
The almost minimalist style has a contemporary appeal, and yet the pattern is about 300 years old.
Just as functional as it is beautiful, this pewter dish was hand finished using 18th century methods in Edenton NC.

Custom and personalized orders
We regularly create custom order pieces. Besides special order pieces for individuals, we have made presentation pieces for the DAR, NCSDAC, as well as several historical societies. Simply drop us a message with an idea of what you are looking for and we will produce a sketching and provide an estimate of how long it will take to craft.
Care instructions
All of our pewter is lead free and should not be placed in the dishwasher. Gentle cleaning with warm water and soap is all that is needed to clean the pieces. Over time the pewter will naturally dull slightly, which is appealing to many. However it that is undesired a paste of baking soda and water will bring back much of the luster.
