Fresh from the workshop for 2025!
This platter was hand hammered to form over wooden stump using lead free hand cut sheet pewter.
Decorated with a hand engraved fanciful chinoiserie landscape pattern.
The pattern is inspired by mid 18th century English Delft pottery from Bristol.
The potters of Bristol created some stunning and timeless Chinoiserie motifs which continue to charm and please to this day. The original tin glazed earthenware examples were painted in polychrome with manganese outlines, with yellow, green, and cobalt details.
This pewter interpretation is hand engraved in wriggle technique using antique graver tools.
Hand finished and polished using sand and brick dust- with a soft shine.
Old North Pewter, made entirely by hand in Edenton North Carolina.
Just as functional as it is beautiful, this pewter dish was hand finished using 18th century methods in Edenton NC.

We regularly create custom order pieces. Besides special order pieces for individuals, we have made presentation pieces for the DAR, NCSDAC, as well as several historical societies. Simply drop us a message with an idea of what you are looking for and we will produce a sketching and provide an estimate of how long it will take to craft.
All of our pewter is lead free and should not be placed in the dishwasher. Gentle cleaning with warm water and soap is all that is needed to clean the pieces. Over time the pewter will naturally dull slightly, which is appealing to many. However it that is undesired a paste of baking soda and water will bring back much of the luster.
We do sell wholesale. As our pieces are normally one of a kind, please contact us directly with quantities and styles that you might be interested in.
