Hand hammered from a cast pewter disc, this oval ornament is decorated with a floral motif taken direct from 18th century Chinese Export porcelain in the "Famille Rose" style.
Hand engraved using 19th century Jeweler's gravers employing the ancient "wriggle" method.
Hand polished and finished using wet sand, brick dust, and horsetail reed.

Custom and personalized orders
We regularly create custom order pieces. Besides special order pieces for individuals, we have made presentation pieces for the DAR, NCSDAC, as well as several historical societies. Simply drop us a message with an idea of what you are looking for and we will produce a sketching and provide an estimate of how long it will take to craft.
Care instructions
All of our pewter is lead free and should not be placed in the dishwasher. Gentle cleaning with warm water and soap is all that is needed to clean the pieces. Over time the pewter will naturally dull slightly, which is appealing to many. However it that is undesired a paste of baking soda and water will bring back much of the luster.
