In the late 18th century the English ceramics market began to emerge with a flourishing center of production and painting being focused centrally at Stoke-on-Trent, numerous smaller shops and firms soon consolidated in this region and painters began to be inspired by each other for decoration.
The creamware of this era inspired the decoration on this ornament- the flowing sprigs and the shell edge (feather edge).
Delicately hand engraved on a Handwrought pewter disc, the piece was given a slight patina, to darken the metal to enhance the delicate hand engraving.
Measurements: 3.5 inches across.

We regularly create custom order pieces. Besides special order pieces for individuals, we have made presentation pieces for the DAR, NCSDAC, as well as several historical societies. Simply drop us a message with an idea of what you are looking for and we will produce a sketching and provide an estimate of how long it will take to craft.
All of our pewter is lead free and should not be placed in the dishwasher. Gentle cleaning with warm water and soap is all that is needed to clean the pieces. Over time the pewter will naturally dull slightly, which is appealing to many. However it that is undesired a paste of baking soda and water will bring back much of the luster.
We do sell wholesale. As our pieces are normally one of a kind, please contact us directly with quantities and styles that you might be interested in.
