"Famille Rose" refers more to the color palette of enameled Qing dynasty porcelain rather that the topic of the painting, however flowers were used quite frequently and the superior enameling skills of the Chinese enamelers was beautifully exhibited.
Inspired by one such "Export Porcelain" piece in the Famille rose palette, this bowl was hand wrought from a cut disc of pewter, and delicately hand engraved.
Just the right size for multiple purposes, spices, dip, or candies.
Soft and subtle in decoration and detail, the texture of the piece welcomes handling and further inspection.
As with all pieces by Old North Pewter, this piece was made without the use of electricity.
Each and every step of the process was completed by hand using traditional preindustrialized craft methods in Edenton North Carolina.

Custom and personalized orders
We regularly create custom order pieces. Besides special order pieces for individuals, we have made presentation pieces for the DAR, NCSDAC, as well as several historical societies. Simply drop us a message with an idea of what you are looking for and we will produce a sketching and provide an estimate of how long it will take to craft.
Care instructions
All of our pewter is lead free and should not be placed in the dishwasher. Gentle cleaning with warm water and soap is all that is needed to clean the pieces. Over time the pewter will naturally dull slightly, which is appealing to many. However it that is undesired a paste of baking soda and water will bring back much of the luster.
